Anybody can dip their toes into psychology.
If you’re interesting in learning more about yourself, others, personality and human behavior, or just want to find resources for wellness, building your science based library is a fun goal. These are the books that feel helpful, practical, yet relatable. Some are more psychoeduational, while others have a self-help tilt. (No shame in that!) All of them are friends and mirrors, reflecting something new.
Poetry
Poetry that speaks to me is alive.
It breathes out emotion while touching hidden hopes and hurts. It witnesses. It spotlights diverse, dynamic voices and invites them to heard. It speaks to beauty, relationship, heartbreak and injustices, both personal and cultural. Its lyric is innovative and musical. Its metaphors walk alongside us in wake and sleep. Its images transport us into stanzas and swim in our memories long after.
